Fullshot for Chrome

Privacy policy

The Fullshot extension captures a page inside your browser and saves the PNG to your computer. No screenshot, address or page content is sent to us or to anyone else. The only thing that leaves your browser is a short list of anonymous usage statistics, set out below.

Last updated 10 October 2026. Covers the Fullshot extension for Chrome, Edge and Brave.

Your screenshots

A capture is made, stitched together and shown entirely on your device. The image is held in memory while its result tab is open, and it is gone when you close that tab. The extension keeps no history and no cache.

The extension can see a page only after you click its icon or press its shortcut, and then only the tab you were on. It cannot read pages in the background, and it does not ask for access to all websites.

Usage statistics

To know whether captures work and how long they take, the extension sends anonymous events to Google Analytics. Each one carries what is in this table, the random ID described below, and a session number.

Sent whenWhat it carries
The extension is installed or updatedThe version number, and on an update the version before it
A capture startsIcon or shortcut, the viewport width, the screen’s scale factor
A capture finishesThe image’s width and height in pixels, its file size, how long it took, whether the page was cut at the height limit
You cancel a captureHow long it had been running
A capture failsAn error code and how long it had been running
You click Download PNGThe file size, and whether you had already downloaded it
The browser refuses a downloadAn error code
You click a link to fullshot.netWhether the link was in the popup or on the result page

No event contains a page address, a page title, anything from the page, or the image. If an event cannot be sent, because you are offline or something blocks it, the extension works exactly the same.

Google Analytics is run by Google, which receives these events and, as with any request, sees the IP address they come from. Google keeps event data for the retention period set on our account, and totals after that. How Google handles data is described in its privacy policy.

What is kept on your device

One thing: a randomly generated ID. It lets the statistics tell one browser from another without saying who you are. It is not tied to an account, because the extension has no accounts. Removing the extension deletes it.

What we never do

Your choices

Blocking requests to google-analytics.com stops the statistics and changes nothing else. Removing the extension removes everything it stored.

Changes and contact

If the extension starts handling data differently, this page changes first and the date at the top changes with it. Questions go through the contact form.
