How to take a screenshot of a website

Take a website screenshot online in three steps. Everything happens in your browser, with nothing to download.

  1. 1.0

    Enter the URL

Type or paste the address of any public page into the form. You do not need to open the page first.

  2. 2.0

    Choose a screen size

Pick desktop, mobile or tablet. Each one loads the page the way that device would.

  3. 3.0

    Get your PNG

Fullshot captures the page and shows the image in your browser. Copy the link or save the file.

Why capture a web page online instead of on your device

A screenshot taken on your own computer shows your own browser. Extensions, bookmarks, saved logins and personal settings can all end up in the picture.

An online screenshot of a website is taken on a server. Fullshot opens the page in a clean browser with no extensions, no cookies and no account signed in.

That makes the result the same for everyone. It does not matter which device, operating system or browser you use to ask for it.

You can create a screenshot of a website without opening it on your own device at all. The address is enough.

Example output: a Wikipedia article at Full HD, 1920 by 2896 pixels. See the full-size PNG. Source: “Web page” on Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.

Screenshot any site at any screen size

Wondering how your site looks on a phone? Choose Mobile and pick iPhone 15, Pixel 8 or Galaxy S24.

Tablet presets cover iPad and Surface Pro. Desktop presets go from an HD laptop to Full HD, QHD and 4K.

You can also type a custom width and height, from 200 to 3840 pixels. Mobile and tablet captures work in portrait or landscape.

Long pages come back as one tall image, the same result as a scrolling screenshot. One site screenshot per device is a quick way to check a responsive layout.

Limits to know before you start

Pages behind a login
Fullshot cannot sign in for you. A page that needs an account shows its sign-in screen instead.
Sites with bot protection
Some sites block automated visitors. The capture may show a challenge page, or it may fail.
Local addresses
Addresses on your own computer or network, such as localhost, cannot be reached. The page needs a public address.
Daily limit
You can take 10 captures a day. Each one usually takes 5 to 30 seconds.

FAQ

How can I take a screenshot of a website without installing anything?

Use a tool that runs on a server. Enter the page address in the form above and choose a screen size. Fullshot returns a PNG, and nothing is added to your computer or your browser.

Is the website screenshot tool free?

Yes. Fullshot is free for 10 captures a day. You do not need an account or a card.

Can I screenshot a website as it looks on a phone?

Yes. Choose Mobile and a phone such as iPhone 15, Pixel 8 or Galaxy S24. The page loads at that screen size with a phone browser profile, so you see the mobile layout.

Does it work on pages that require a login?

No. Fullshot opens every page in a clean browser and cannot sign in. Pages behind a login show the sign-in screen, and sites with bot protection may block the capture.

Where is the screenshot stored and for how long?

On cdn.fullshot.net. Anyone who has the link can open the image, so share it only with people who should see it. The file is deleted after 7 days.

Can I screenshot my own website before it goes live?

Only if it has a public address. A staging site that anyone can open works. A site on localhost or behind a password does not.
